Fr. Michael Tishel

Fr. Michael Tishel was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. His last name is yiddish for "little table." He has two degrees in theology and is working on a third. His beautiful wife, Pres. Catherine, and his small children, Zoe and Isaac, constitute the heart-beat of his life and ministry, for whom he is eternally grateful to God.

Fr. Michael currently serves as the ephimerios (assistant priest) at Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church. He is excited to contribute his passion for creative writing, youth culture, and theology to the TF team as a script-writer and co-host of the pilot podcast "An Imperfect Podcast."

Prior to coming to Holy Transfiguration, Fr. Michael served for seven years as director of the CrossoRoad Summer Institute, asst. director of the Office of Vocation & Ministry, and Lecturer at Hellenic College Holy Cross.
