June 5, 2014: Father Panayiotis Papageorgiou (Holy Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church; Marietta, GA) talks to our group of pilgrims at the Mount of Temptations, the mountain in the Judaean Desert where Jesus was tempted by the devil. The mount is approx. 1,200 feet high and about six miles northwest of the West Bank town of Jericho. Atop the mount is the Greek Orthodox Monastery of the Temptation or “Qarantal”.
“Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.” – Matthew 4:8
